Abstract :
The trials of implementation of in vitro simulation for cardiac surgery procedures optimalisation has been performed. Based on patient anatomic data (RTC, USG) the 3D or 2D-geometry picture, computer models of selected parts of heart or circulatory system have been performed. The “surgery” is performed based on these materials and the flow-pressure distribution effects of particular elements after flow simulation using Fidap(R) software are obtained. The pressure and/or flow initial data for this calculation is received from patient measurements. The same data is used for preparing the analogue model and mathematical simulations in Matlab-Simulink(R) environment. The glass, plastic or silicone models, sometimes including natural and real elements (vessels, valves, medical devices etc.) are tested using computer control physical stands and measurement devices. The optimalisation of geometrical, technical aspects and material properties of elements used in cardiac surgery through the analysis if the influeuce of different work conditions on pressure-flow distribution efficiency has been performed
