Development of event monitor for home health care center

There are a lot of data transmissions between the home users and the monitoring center, some exceptional errors may happen to disturb the normal transmission. On the other hand, the login information of home users needs to be collected. The authors have developed an event monitor for the home health care center, which comprises two databases to monitor and collect the events of the center, one is a login information database, and the other is an exceptional errors database. The login information includes patient´s ID, the type of login, the login time. The exceptional errors include the error emergence time, the type, and the expositive detail of the error. The event monitor can be easily used for querying and displaying different system or patients´ status with the help of the databases. Several querying methods are provided depending on different time, data type and patient´s ID. By using the event monitor, one can find out the regularity of patient´s illness. Some necessary modifications have been accomplished by analyzing the recorded data of login and errors. The event monitor also provides several interfaces to execute other programs in the health care center
