Abstract :
Summary form only given. We present an investigation of local optical field distributions inside low-dimensional photonic crystals with a scanning tunnelling microscope (STM). Channel waveguides form the basis for our photonic crystals. We have modified the waveguides by means of focused ion beam sputtering.
