Abstract :
Summary form only given. We report on the observation of four wave mixing (FWM) in a sample of cold cesium atoms in a magneto optical trap (MOT), where the trapping beams also play the role of the dressing field. The trapping and the FWM beams are provided by a stabilized Ti:sapphire laser. However, the FWM beams have the same linear polarization in contrast with the opposite circular polarizations of the counterpropagating trapping beams.
