Abstract
Chaotic maps improve the security level of watermarking scheme due to its complex characteristics. The security is required to prevent unauthorized modifications. In this paper, a highly security based watermarking scheme for image authentication has been proposed. The two dimensional Arnold´s cat map, logistic map and 2D Game of Life cellular automata provide the security scheme. Arnold cat map has been used to scramble the original image and logistic map and Game of Life automaton have been used to scramble the binary watermark image. The scrambled watermark image is embedded into the least significant bit plane of scrambled original image. The proposed method uses multiple chaotic maps which results in large key space. Therefore, the proposed method is capable of preventing unauthorized modifications. Experimental results of the proposed method is compared with other three existing methods which are chaos based watermarking schemes. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms than other existing methods.
