Abstract :
Summary form only given. We demonstrate the generation of ultrafast, tunable, VUV light using wave mixing and harmonic generation processes within gas-filled hollow-core fibers. Four- and six-wave mixing processes, as well as 3-15th order harmonic generation processes, are used to generate the VUV light. We demonstrate the generation of macroscopic conversion efficiencies, as well as the role of nonlinear and cascaded processes, at wavelengths between 50 and 300 nm for the first time.
