Abstract :
We develop a blind subspace based carrier offset estimator for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) on channels with support exceeding the cyclic prefix length. the algorithm is particularly suited for uplink synchronization where the combination of asynchronism, propagation delays and multipath effects may result in channel support longer than the cyclic prefix. Simulation results demonstrate the robustness of the carrier offset estimation algorithm in a practical OFDM system.
