Abstract :
This paper consider the problem of DOA estimation in direct-sequence code-division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems over fading channels. This scheme is based on the use of an uniform linear antenna (ULA) array receiver at the base station. Perfect estimation of the time delay of multipath signals is assumed. A feedforward estimation method, derived from the well-understood issue of carrier frequency recovery for PSK-modulated data signals, is used at the output of the parallel matched filters to estimate each resolvable direction of the multipath of the desired mobile user. The simulation results shows that the proposed algorithm represents a simple and reliable scheme for real-time implementation, with low computational complexity and high resolution.
