Abstract :
This study investigates the efficient representation of nonlinear functions by data-driven algorithms for the design of fuzzy controllers. This is done by defining practical efficiency factors. Emphasis is placed on the comparison of the results given by a new algorithm for the design of Mamdani-type controllers with those obtained by neurofuzzy and other approaches
