Abstract :
This paper discusses on-line Thai numeral recognition based on characteristics of pen-point movement in handwriting process. The characteristics are described by expanding the time sequences of pen-point movement in handwriting process into Fourier series, respectively. It assumes here that the coefficients in the Fourier series are considered as the input and output sequences of a system, respectively. The features of Thai numerals are selected using K-L expansion of the impulse response of the system
