  • Abstract
    This paper treats a design technique for 2-D state-space digital filters based on model reduction of 2-D FIR filters. An IIR filter is derived by a matrix projection of original FIR filter and the coefficient matrices are optimized by iterative algorithm. A numerical example is shown to illustrate the validity of the proposed technique
