  • Abstract
In which ways can one best present a successful questionnaire on the Internet? This question is addressed by empirical studies performed on the Internet. In all the methods, the questionnaire was mounted on a Web page, only the means of Web page presentation differed. The questionnaire was written in German, so the user population restricted itself accordingly. We differentiate four methods: entries in search engines, linked lists and guest books; banner exchange; direct mailing; and Usenet. We discuss the advantages, disadvantages and similarities of the four methods.
