The paper seeks to establish the commonly received wisdom on the need for innovation globally, and its relative scarcity in UK business. The developed UK and European Union education policy is examined as an opportunity to educate would be entrepreneurs to Masters level. The five-year experience is summarised and the perceived directions for the future are outlined
