Abstract :
We propose a new algorithm for adaptive notch filter, which is useful for the detection of multiple unknown sinusoids embedded in the broadband signal. The adaptive notch filter is constructed using cascades of second order notch filter, while the algorithm incorporates sub-band filtering and decimation. From the simulation results provided, we observe an increase in the convergence speed and good estimation accuracy in comparison to the conventional type
