Abstract :
The Lyapunov criterion is used for determining sufficient conditions for large-signal stability of boost PWM DC-DC regulators (either with hard-switching or soft-switching). The nonlinearity of the converter is taken into account by introducing two Lurie-type integrals in the Lyapunov function. The conditions are found in terms of the regulator parameters: time constant of the feedback amplifier, switching frequency, nominal duty-cycle, values of the output filter elements for different load values. Simulations and experiments confirmed the theoretical results
