Abstract :
It has been shown that a multibit sigma-delta modulator can be built replacing the ADC in the forward path by an increment in the oversampling ratio of the last integrators of the loop. An improved topology is proposed which obtains similar performances with single-bit feedback, overcoming drawbacks inherent to high resolution DACs
