  • Abstract
Ad-hoc networks are receiving a lot of attention because of their ability to extend the service area through self-reproduction. An ad-hoc network is composed of many mobile stations that relay the radio signals from station to station. Mobile stations can move around in the network, be switched off, or switched on at any time, so a routing algorithm that can follow the dynamically changing network topology and minimize disconnection should be established. The proposed algorithm, “On-Demand Multi-Routing (ODMR)”, which is based on source routing, constructs plural routes from a source station to a destination station and transmits data in parallel or alternately. This paper describes ODMR, and its performance is calculated and compared with that of the existing source routing algorithm
