Abstract :
Large nonlinear effects generated in L-band tellurite-based EDFAs can be suppressed to almost same extent as those generated in typical L-band silica-based EDFAs by increasing mode field diameter or shortening the EDF while increasing the Er/sup 3+/ concentration.
