Abstract :
40 Gbit/s 25 WDM RZ signal transmission over 550 km was demonstrated using L-band amplifiers and non-zero dispersion shifted fibers, and transmission impairments were reduced by effective dispersion management. The Q factor obtained on average was 15.4 dB after transmission.
