Abstract :
We demonstrate a grating based 64-chip, 160 Gchip/s optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) system incorporating a nonlinear optical loop mirror (NOLM) within the receiver to enhance the code recognition signature. Error-free, penalty-free operation is obtained with complete recovery of the original input pulse shape in a range of transmission experiments.
