Abstract :
A record aggregate capacity transmission of 3.2 Tb/s (80/spl times/40 Gb/s) audio, video and data traffic in a single fiber over 3 spans of SSMF (standard single mode fiber) was demonstrated in a field trial using forward error correction (FEC), Raman amplification and tunable dispersion compensation (TDC).
