Abstract :
A novel optical add-drop multiplex (OADM) node architecture design using wavelength selective switches is proposed. We demonstrate experimentally the OADM configuration and optical channel dedicated protection in a two-fiber ring network with 24/spl times/10-Gbps DWDM traffic.
