Abstract
By coupling two similar semi-disc radiating patches in a stacked structure, dual-frequency operation has been achieved. A single shorting-pin in each patch is used to significantly reduce the overall dimensions of the antenna, while only one probe-feed is applied to feed the antenna efficiently. The impedance behavior and far-field radiation pattern characteristics of this antenna are presented theoretically and experimentally
