Abstract :
This paper describes the development and implementation of a new indoor deterministic propagation model. The model is designed to successfully predict the complex temporal and spatial characteristics of the radio channel. Ray launching techniques are developed to efficiently determine site specific ray geometry. Standard electromagnetics are applied to compute the field of each ray at the receiver. Using a detailed database, preliminary predictions are presented. Point-to-point predictions include, power delay and power azimuth profiles. In addition, typical route and area coverage results are provided. The paper introduces the spatial and temporal measurement system to be used in a later validation study. Finally, areas of future work are highlighted and a set of conclusions is presented
