Abstract :
Transmission performance of double sideband (DSB) and vestigial sideband (VSB) signals was compared for the first time in 20 Gbit/s-based ultra-long-haul WDM transmission systems. Impact of channel spacing, repeater output power variation and terminal dispersion compensation error was investigated.
