Abstract :
Usual discrete-time analysis and synthesis of continuous-time band-pass ΣΔ modulators lead to loop filter responses which are not well suited to continuous-time application. In order to overcome this intrinsic difficulty and obtain more conventional filter responses, we propose a new and completely different approach. Based on a fully continuous-time domain analysis this method gives a comprehensive interpretation of the behavior of a multi-bit ΣΔ modulator loop
