Abstract :
Structures are observed in the noise spectrum propagated in dispersion-shifted fibers in the presence of two lasers. Four wave mixing (FWM) interactions provide gain or increased loss at particular wavelengths which permits identification of. the various fiber zero-dispersion wavelengths.
