Abstract :
Error-free transmission (PRBS 2/sup 23/-1, BER=10/sup -9/) over 225 km non-dispersion shifted standard singlemode fiber is demonstrated at 10 Gbit/s using a vestigial sideband signal generated with a fiber Bragg grating. Electrical dispersion equalization is assisted by a transversal filter SiGe chip.
