Abstract :
Many industrial applications require novel technologies of AC current sensors characterized by low cost and wide measuring range in amplitude and frequency. For this purpose a promising solution is the utilization of sensor arrays together with signal processing techniques. Indeed the continuous progress in magnetic sensor research provides increasing accuracy in measurement systems based on magnetic sensor arrays. In the paper we present experimental testing of a novel current sensor based on processing magnetic sensor signals for simultaneous measurement of three-phase currents. The novel current sensor is proposed as a low-cost transducer for protection systems
