Abstract :
In several measurement cases, the sensor to measure a quantity of interest may be influenced by another quantity. This interfering quantity must be measured and its effect compensated in order to reconstruct the correct values of the main quantity. A new methodology is presented that uses look-up table and linear interpolation for calculating the compensation factors of an interfering quantity to reconstruct the main measurand of interest. The look-up table size and entries are calculated using the inherent measurement error due to the AID converter quantization, and considering the effects of the approximation on the main measurand final resolution. To illustrate the methodology, an example of application is presented
