Abstract
Two systems of multiplexed interferometric sensors based on highly birefringent fibers for simultaneous measurements of pressure and temperature changes are presented. The phase shifts induced in the sensing elements are registered in a four-channel detection unit with a resolution of ¼ interference fringe. The performance of two systems, one composed of two serially multiplexed sensors for measurements of pressure and temperature changes and the other composed of two parallel multiplexed sensors for pressure measurements is demonstrated
