Abstract :
PC based microwave oscillator phase noise measuring system is described. The main part of the system is a phase discriminator, which utilizes a transmission-line resonator. The resonator is timed with a pair of the reflection-type electronic phase shifters, allowing both wide radio frequency coverage and simplicity of the control circuits. The designed system covers the frequency band from 1.25 to 2.5 GHz. The system is controlled by personal computer
