Abstract
This keynote lecture summarizes the evolution of electric transport in Mexico City. It includes the underground or metro, the trolleybus and the light train systems. It also describes traffic jams and geographic conditions that have generated high pollution levels in Mexico Valley Metropolitan Zone. The lecture concludes with the present planned expansion projects on electrical transport which either publicly or privately financed will be developed until 2020
