Abstract :
Reliable Autonomous Control Technologies (REACT) is a NASA sponsored flight research effort under the Revolutionary Concepts (RevCon) initiative. REACT seeks to develop and demonstrate an innovative software system to perform total vehicle and mission management for uninhabited aerial vehicles (UAVs). The REACT system will enable the development of safe, robust, and capable UAVs that are suitable for use in safety- and mission-critical applications. The REACT system is on the cutting edge of vehicle management research and development. It marries traditional approaches to system design with advanced artificial intelligence algorithms for system health monitoring and dynamic mission plan management that have been developed for autonomous space exploration
