Abstract :
This paper presents a technique for predicting the conducted EMI (electromagnetic interference) produced by a PWM inverter-induction motor drive system. To obtain the simulation models for the prediction of conducted noise, a high frequency model of an inverter leg with parasitic elements and a multi-coil model of the stator winding are designed. The high frequency circuit model of the system must take the main parasitic components of the inverter into account. In particular, stray inductances of the connecting wires, parasitic inductances of the capacitors and parasitic capacitance between the inverter and the ground are considered. Finally, the results are confirmed from simulation and experiments
