Abstract :
We propose a new control method called the active refresh method (ARM) to maintain cache consistency. We examine the problems associated with the implementation of the ARM, and carry our thorough experiments using the trace-driven simulation method. The results of our experiments show that the usage of ARM helps to greatly increase the cache hit-rate and the byte hit-rate while decreasing the time delay
