Abstract
Variable transmission rate services such as Internet data access and voice communications will be supported simultaneously in the next generation wireless communication systems. Depending on the service types, different transmission rates and service requirements are needed. Therefore, different transmission power will be needed for different service users to keep the very high rate transmission. In this paper, an algorithm is presented for a low rate user to cancel the interferences from high rate users in CDMA downlink
