Abstract
The convergence rate of an adaptive filter is one of the key elements which determines the performance of the filter in a moderately slow time-varying channel. In this paper a new blind minimum mean-square error (MMSE) linear detector based on the modified stochastic gradient descent (SGD) algorithm is presented. The proposed detector is simple, robust and has a faster convergence rate than the conventional SGD algorithm
