Abstract
This study presents a novel type of grey relational grade, called the optimal grey relational grade, that is a measurement combining two aspect measures: a grey approximation grade, and a grey similarity grade. It can be viewed as a synthesis measure for interpreting the nonlinear relationship between sequences. Based on the maximum entropy method, the optimal solution to this novel type of grey relational grade was obtained, and it also satisfied the availability of the sub-optimal identification for discriminating the nonlinear relation between sequences. Finally, the verification of this measurement was asserted via two examples
