Abstract :
We applied Freeman´s (1987) 8-channel olfactory model to study pattern recognition for binary sequences. A combination of different 2-dimensional projections of high-order chaotic attractors was adopted as a method for identification. Based on a series of observations, we found that the classification principle of this model was addition. To test the robustness of this method, we used computer simulations to prove the shift and rotation invariance of this method
