Abstract :
The paper introduces a complete segmentation algorithm based on fuzzy-region-growing (FRG). It serves to examine the efficacy of the FRG algorithm without incorporation of high level knowledge. The complete fuzzy segmentation procedure makes use of the fuzzy regions grown from different seeds to complete the automated image segmentation. Experimental results on simple synthetic and real MR images are shown to demonstrate the validity of the algorithm
