Abstract :
The design and experimental fabrication of a miniaturized free electron laser structure are presented. Due to the very high brightness of this source, an intense portable THz-radiation source is expected. The light becomes coherent due to electron bunching. The current density obtained exceeds the threshold required for coherent light emission by a factor of 5 to 3000
