Abstract
High frequency piezoelectric resonators with multilayered structure of lead titanate and lead zirconate titanate ceramics were prepared to evaluate high frequency piezoelectric properties. By using high order harmonic vibration, a single resonant characteristics were obtained around 60MHz with no spurious between the resonance and the antiresonance frequency. The high frequency resonator of lead titanate showed high electromechanical coupling factor and low mechanical loss compared with that of lead zirconate titanate. The mechanical loss of these resonators increased with the resonance frequency. These results can be explained by the classical damping theory of a propagating wave with internal friction of piezoelectric ceramics
