Abstract
As an approach to the characteristic narrow alleys located in poor neighborhoods, which makes it nearly impossible to install electrical power distribution networks using available technologies (overhead or underground power distribution lines), the low-cost secondary surface network (LCSSN) was developed with the purpose of serving slum areas still lacking electrical distribution facilities, and also as a replacement for existing overhead distribution lines that, as a result of new buildings being erected very close to the lines, start posing electrical hazards to the population
