Abstract :
A load forecasting service that can be accessed via the Internet has been set up and its concept is discussed in this paper. This paper first reviews the load-forecasting problem, then shows the basic functions of the service emphasizing the technical aspects of its implementation and finally describes field test experiences. The service is currently providing load forecasts for numerous utilities and big industrial companies
