Abstract :
A versatile signal model for a linear multiuser receiver in CDMA system is proposed. Based on the model, the optimal linear multiuser receiver problem is equivalent to the optimal weight vector design problem. Then the optimal solution according the linear constrained minimum variance (LCMV) criterion is deduced. The theoretical analysis and computer simulation demonstrate that the optimal receiver in this paper is the organic combination of a conventional RAKE receiver and multiuser detector, but its performance is superior to any linear multiuser receivers based on the RAKE receiver followed a linear multiuser detector
