Abstract :
In this paper, the performance of non-linear Interference Cancellation (IC) techniques for centralized receivers of asynchronous direct-sequence code-division multiple-access (DS/CDMA) systems in frequency-selective Rayleigh fading channels is studied. A detailed theoretical framework is presented to analyze the bit-error-rate (BER) of interference cancellation where we focus on multistage successive and parallel IC techniques. New BER expressions are derived based on the analysis tool known as ´Unified Analysis´, which enables us to incorporate receiver design quality (i.e., channel estimation errors) and system parameters which characterize a CDMA network (i.e., cell density, data rates and different power control loop failures)
