Abstract :
The performance of a minimum variance decorrelating (MVD) receiver in time-variant frequency selective Rayleigh fading channel is evaluated. Constrained to separate received signals from different propagation paths, the proposed MVD receiver provides distortionless output while removing inter-path interference (IPI) from each path´s output. Furthermore, an adaptive channel response estimation algorithm is proposed to further improve the performance in a time variant fading environment when employing maximum ratio combining (MRC)
