Abstract :
The problems dealing with passing of a broadband signal through the near-Earth atmospheric channel are considered. In particular two topics are covered: the width modification of a nanosecond Gaussian pulse after passing through the rain layer; and the propagation of a broadband signal through the atmosphere taking into account the reflection from an underlying surface
