Abstract
The presented results of ground-based millimeter (MM) wave measurements of the vertical ozone distribution over the Lebedev Physical Institute in Moscow are consistent with the general picture of global changes in the ozonosphere. High accuracy and reliability of the method, its low weather dependence and possibility of day-and-night measurements allow MM-wave spectrometers to be used for long-term, continuous monitoring of the ozone layer and detection of its depletion. Both dynamical and photochemical processes in middle atmosphere may be studied through ozone measurements at MM waves. The investigations should be continued for better understanding the phenomena observed. Additionally, simultaneous measurements of ozone destroying ClO molecules at 204 GHz are planned in future
